Extended WarrantyMinelab Metal Detectors from New England Detectors U.S.A. carry a standard 3 year original manufacturer’s Warranty and a 2 year extended warranty to be free from defects in manufacture. If your Metal Detector fails to operate during normal use within this extended warranty New England Detectors U.S.A.. will repair or replace the unit at its discretion. Your Extended Warranty covers the cost of any needed repairs to, or replacement of, your unit for two years beyond the original 36 months, under normal usage, for a total covered period of sixty four months from first purchase. ‘Normal Usage’ means when correctly installed maintained and protected from deliberate or accidental catastrophic damage. New England Detectors U.S.A. will keep your product information on file, including details of the unit you have purchased. Obtaining Service under your Extended Warranty. Should your detector require servicing outside the Manufacturers (Minelab) warranty period, you must first contact New England Detectors U.S.A. to authorize and arrange for return of the unit. You may call toll-free 800-734-1544, or you may Email us, sales@newenglanddetectors.com When you receive authorization for repairs, and or service you may either bring your product in person or ship it (postage pre-paid and insured) with proof of product purchase (copy of original invoice, including Extended Warranty paperwork). Please reference you’re Returned Goods Authorization number, and include a short written description of the problem or malfunction. New England Detectors U.S.A. will repair or replace your unit, at its discretion, at no additional charge to you. Furthermore, New England Detectors U.S.A. Grant’s conveys it’s Warranty for United States residents ONLY. Special Exclusions This Extended Warranty covers your unit under normal operation in all normal circumstances. It does not cover malicious or catastrophic damage due to conditions beyond our control, such as damage due to improper installation; failure to follow manufacturer’s recommendations for proper power supply & installation; improper electrical supply or power surge; dropped product; theft, abuse, misuse, vandalism, fire, or natural disaster such as hurricane or flood. If your warranteed product is found to have failed due to any of these excluded conditions, we will notify you of the cost to repair or replace the unit. This Extended Warranty applies to all qualified returns within the United States. You may have other rights under state law beyond those listed here. Exception. a. All Minelab detectors will carry the 3+2 = 5 year warranty with the exception of the Excalibur II water/diving detector. This will carry an additional 1 year warranty after the manufacturers ( Minelab) expires with the above “exclusions”. All repairs are done in house and are performed by Certified Electronic Engineers. Our staff , specifically our engineers have not been trained by any manufacturer and are not authorized by the manufacturers to work on Detectors. When you purchase your detector from New England Detectors you can have peice of mind knowing you are covered should a problem arrise after the manufacturer's warranty. It is considered a perk when buying from New England Detectors.. If you bought from New England Detectors and there is an issue with your detector during the Manufacturer's warranty period, you are urged to contact the manufacturer and send in your unit should it be warranted to do so. When your manufacturer's warranty expires New England Detectors warranty will go into effect for the remainder of the outlined warranty specific to you detector. In general, Minelab's detector warranty is a 3-year warranty (with the exception of the Excalibur at 1-year). b. Minelab does not have & does not underwrite any extended warranties for any of our dealers at this time If we ever decide to have an extended warranty; Minelab would publish & advertise this information on our website and through a memo. c. Minelab does not currently have a “Repair Technician” training program & Minelab does not certify repair technicians in our dealer network at this time. d. Minelab does not have a repair technician certification program for any selling Minelab dealer. New England Detectors does not nor promotes our technicians as Minelab trained or certified. New England Detectors is a seaperate repair entity from Minelabs repair facility and make no record of being affiliated as such. Customers purchasing a Minelab product must send their detector to Minelab for service should service be needed during the alloted warranty period. Once that time has expired from Minelab, New England Detectors Warranty starts. Any service needed after the manufacturers expires you must send your detector to New England Detectors U.S.A. as well as follow the proper return procedure.
